WHAT THE PROGRAM LOOKS LIKE
A Structured 4-session sprint to lower symptoms, increase awareness of your patterns under pressure, and implement a practical performance plan. You’ll leave with a small set of skills and routines to use immediately, plus clear data to guide what happens next. At the end, we’ll choose one of three paths: maintain, build, or pivot.
WHAT THIS PROGRAM IS
-
Session 1 — Assessment + Clarity + Game Plan
Goal: Understand what’s happening, when it shows up, and what we’re attacking first.
What we do:
Intake + performance history (what sport demands, current stressors, what’s been tried)
Identify your “pressure pattern” (triggers → body response → thoughts → behaviors → performance result)
Establish 1–2 measurable goals (symptoms + performance behavior)
Baseline assessments (quick questionnaires + your self-ratings)
Start Mindset Direction + Regulation Tools:
Mindset Direction = your operating stance (how you want to interpret pressure)
Regulation Tools = your state support (how you get your mind/body into the zone that makes that stance possible)
Start your first simple plan for practice and competition
-
Session 2 — Skill Build + Performance Plan Personalization
Goal: Skill Building personalized for you and further understanding, then how to apply to practice/competition.
What we do:
Review your tracking (what we like / not like from 1st meeting)
Further Skill Build with 1–3 core skills:
Body regulation / calming under pressure
Attention control / cue words / Action
Cognitive Control / thought management
Build your Routine/ Protocol (what you do after mistakes / Pressure spikes)
Address performance blockers (confidence, fears, coach, situations)
How to further apply in practice, home, work/school, competition).
-
Session 3 — Pressure Proofing + Routine Installation
Goal: Make sure your plan is solid, feels doable/repeatable and helpful.
What we do:
Track progress and adjust (remove what’s not working, simplify what is)
Solidify your Performance Plan (simple, repeatable)
Address any blockers still present (perfectionism, fear of messing up, confidence)
Practice: walk-through or visualization of key moments (If - then work)
-
Session 4 — Recap + Final Assessment + Next Step Path
Goal: Measure change, lock in what works, and choose the right next step.
What we do:
Re-do the assessments (compare baseline to now)
Review progress: symptoms, awareness, behavior, performance response
Identify what moved and what didn’t (and why)
Finalize your personalized Performance Plan
Choose your path forward:
1) Maintain — you’re improving and can self-manage
2) Build — it’s working but needs more reps/support
3) Pivot — the blocker isn’t skills; we adjust the approach (readiness, environment, clinical support, etc.) -
What this PROGRAM ISN’T
Not a guarantee. There are no promises that the first plan will be the perfect fit. But you will leave with clearer awareness of what’s happening, what helps, and what needs to change next.
Not a quick fix in one session. Mental skills don’t “work” because we talked about them once. They work because you repeat them until your brain trusts them under pressure.
Not endless sessions without action. This is not open-ended weekly therapy with no structure. We focus on skill implementation, routines, and real-life application.
Not solving everything at once. We’re not trying to fix your entire mindset or your whole life. We’re attacking a small number of high-impact moments that disrupt performance.
FOR PARENTS OF MINORS
What you will receive!
4 Parent Check -ins
4 brief parent check-ins (one per session) to stay aligned and support progress at home and in competition.
Parent Assessment
A weekly parent check-in assessment for 4 weeks to track what you’re noticing and how you’re responding (your “parent mental game”).
What parents do NOT receive:
A play-by-play of private session conversations.
Confidential details the athlete shares in session.
These check-ins are designed to keep the work consistent outside the office, without turning parents into the coach or putting extra pressure on the athlete.
